Wednesday Feb 21, 2024

Will is joined by Callum and Julian on the panel to discuss the Fylde 5-0 debacle and the 2-0 win over 4th placed Altrincham. It's then voice notes galore as Joe, Julian, Callum and Will send in their thoughts after a dominant display and 1-0 win against 3rd placed Barnet at the Rec.
Thanks for all the feedback on recent episodes. Hopefully this week is when I get access to the X account (apologies if you've sent anything that way, blame Snobs in Birmingham).

Wednesday Feb 14, 2024

The first of a new series looking back at years gone by and choosing our favourite XIs. The first one sees Will joined by Joe and Julian to select their favourite loan players XI. It sees carnage as Will changes the formation after an admin error that saw him delete the left and right wingers on his sheet and deliberation for the all-important central midfield positions.
Let us know who you'd swap and change out in this XI and send in any suggestions for another Aldershot All Time XI to atfcpodcast@gmail.com.

Thursday Feb 08, 2024

Will is joined by Ian, Joe and Julian for this week's review of a nervous deadline day that saw Tolaj go 100% to Wimbledon, right? Well, another start, another goal and a contract extension means we can enjoy the Swiss striker for the rest of the season.
We review the Halifax away win, look ahead to three home games in a row and how the National League is looking as we take a Saturday off due to Gateshead's progression in the FA Trophy.
Next Wednesday starts a new series called Aldershot's All-Time XIs and the first episode is Loan Players You've Fallen in Love With XI so get ready to scream into the abyss as we bypass your favourite loan players, all in the name of squeezing them into an XI.
Send in your comments and your XI if you would change it to atfcpodcast@gmail.com.
Thanks for listening (or reading this far!).

Thursday Feb 01, 2024

Will is joined by Ian and Julian to discuss the 3-1 win at home to Rochdale and the six-goal thriller at Wealdstone (a). We also look ahead to Halifax (a) and how the play-off picture is looking.

Let me know if you think this season will be more of a 2017/18 or 2016/17 sort of vibe! Get in touch with the show by emailing atfcpodcast@gmail.com.

Thursday Jan 25, 2024

Will is joined by Joe and Julian to discuss a tale of two Aldershots following the 4-2 defeat away at bottom of the league Kidderminster Harriers and a draw that could/should have been a win against second placed Bromley.

The panel also looks ahead to another big week with play-off prospects Rochdale at home and currently manager-less Wealdstone away.

Send in your messages and any suggestions to atfcpodcast@gmail.com.

Thursday Jan 18, 2024

Will is joined by Ian to discuss their thoughts on Aldershot's exit from the FA Trophy to bottom of National League North Bishop's Stortford, where it all went wrong and what needs to change ahead of Saturday's away match against Kidderminster Harriers. We also preview the first home game for nearly a month as Aldershot host Bromley next Tuesday.
We discuss the Tour of Duty choice for this season too, which is Hartlepool United away on 6 April.
We're hoping to do a Loan Players You've Fallen in Love With XI next week as the first in our new section/series called Aldershot's All-Time XIs. Send in your suggestions to atfcpodcast@gmail.com or comment on any posts you see making sure to mention @willbrownatfc (the @ATFCpodcast Twitter/X account is currently out of reach, hopefully just temporarily).

Thursday Jan 11, 2024

Will is joined by Ian, Julian and Joe for this week's panel, discussing their days out at The Hawthorns as Aldershot's cup run was ended by West Brom in clinical fashion - there are shoutouts to M5 service stations along the way too.
We remark on our favourite FA Cup moments of the run and I blatantly nab a clip/shoutout from a podcast favourite of mine, Gig Pigs with Ivo Graham and Alex Kealy. The former is a Swindon Town fan (who was there that fateful day of the 7-4) and I met him six pints deep in a sports bar in Farringdon to rib him about it and do a crossword and they gave a little shout out on the pod that I wanted to highlight.
I transgress! Enjoy the podcast and you might notice there's no Twitter activity from @ATFCPodcast and this is due to my phone breaking in Snobs (a story for another time, perhaps) and my inability to keep track of passwords.
Email atfcpodcast@gmail.com to chat about your favourite service stations watching the Shots and any other business.

Happy New Year! WTFGU is back to round up the three festive games featuring a loss, draw and win for The Shots. Will is joined by Julian, Joe and Ian on the panel to discuss the results, performances, Tommy Widdrington and Josh Stokes' suspension confusion before moving onto the elephant in the room: West Bromwich Albion (a) in the FA Cup Third Round this Sunday.

We talk a lot about Tommy Widdrington's interview with Rob Worrall on the NL Full Time podcast. If you've not yet listened to it, please do, it'll make your week/month/season. Link to Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/episode/6t6dSNumWAfT8JOEbyc5b1?si=6eb670e179134782

It's QUIZZZZZZ-MAS! Put on your festive hat, get a pen and paper and follow along our quiz of the year. Covering annoying questions such as who has got the most yellow cards for Aldershot in 2023 as well as some nightmare quizmaster slips in the latter rounds, there's something for everyone (that supports Aldershot, crucially, there's little in it for the Eastleigh fans Callum calls out in the pod).
Find out who won out of our three contestants, Callum, Joe and Tim for the coveted prize of inaugural WTFGU ATFC Quiz of the Year champion.
Send your scores to @ATFCpodcast on Twitter and email atfcpodcast@gmail.com to be in with a chance to win and put your name on the leaderboard!
Merry Christmas and, possibly, a Happy New Year factors depending if we choose to upload in between Christmas!
